What Inspires You?

It is never about how good your voice is; it is only about feeling the urge to sing, and then having the courage to do it with the voice you are given. How often have you allowed fear and your inner critic to stop you from doing something you were inspired to do? When we allow fear and criticism to stop us in our tracks, we give up that grand adventure. What a waste! Life is either a grand adventure or nothing.

    Hi Kate
I love to sing!   Brought up in an extended family by my Grandparents, my grandfather had a beautiful tenor voice, and during WW1 served his time in the concert parties entertaining the troupes.   Later he was a leading light in the local Gilbert & Sullivan Society, and when I lived with them he was Choir Master at the Methodist church, you can imagine his disappointment that I had a less than perfect voice and told me I was tone deaf.   Now I am fully aware that if I am singing with other people ie church service or community singing (which I don’t do very often) I know to keep my voice down, but at home, in the car or just out for walks in the desolate country side I am happy to sing my heart out, I can imagine myself a raunchy pop star entertaining all around but alas not to be, my family just let me get on with it luckily!
How about you Kate, how is your voice and do you let rip with it?
    Love Suki x

    Hello Kate.
I believe Love is the spur that inspires man, if we love nothing we inspire nothing, I love Life and I am inspired by it all, without fear of ridicule.
    Love  Kenny.
