Driven by time?

It seems in western cultures, we’ve been taught that we need to impose our own order on life; as a result, we think we need to control every aspect of our day. We race to win but at what price? It seems the mere threat of time drives us; busyness is the measure of time, but no matter how much time ‘exists’ it just never seems to be enough and we wonder why we feel so empty at the end of an action filled day. How does time affect your life? Do you fly through each day with your eyes always on the clock? It seems in western cultures, we’ve been taught that we need to impose our own order on life. As a result, we think we need to control every aspect of our day.

This is the time of your life. How are you spending it? How might you enter into a new relationship with time? How might you take back the power you’ve given to the clock?

I no longer wear a watch, my body, my instinct and nature has become my clock.

Can nt see throwing my watch away will help. Never setting the alarm for work seemed a good idea once I ‘retired’ However I still wake up @ 7 ish each day. I need a time piece otherwise I miss my favourite radio or tv programme. How annoying it would have been to tune in and miss Manchester Utd beat Liverpl last saturday ! We have forgotten how to live with our environment, I try to buy seasonal, local vegetables. Oh and I am not amused when people arrive late for a drink/meal/coffee !!!

Time is your enemy so become it’s master, relax,do’nt worry, lay back and chill,
and stop wasting your time chasing that elusive will-o’-the-wisp ?.

LOL i haven’t worn a watch in a very long time, my life is still ruled by time, well the time i have to be at work mostly, but i definitely enjoy losing track of time and getting lost in my own natural timescale, i’ll sleep when i’m tired, eat when i’m hungry and go out when i feel like it, TV and Radio holds no interest to me so i’m not tied to its schedule, live to the beat of your own drum =)
