And so the year draws to a close; in the process many of you are already considering what your New Year resolution should be. One can’t but wonder what 2007 will bring to us as individuals and to the world at large. It has been a year of much turmoil internationally.
I think my New Year Resolution would be to practice and help build harmony, to understand that peace comes not from the absence of conflict, but from the ability to cope with it; that peace is not won by those who fiercely guard their differences, but by those who with open minds and hearts who seek out connections.
Living in harmony could be as simple as the sage philosophy of the indigenous people……
1. Show up, being present with all four mental, emotional, physical and spiritual intelligences.
2. Pay attention to what has heart and meaning.
3. Tell the truth without blame or judgment.
4. Be open to outcome, not attached to outcome.
